In 1660 the book in the second version of 1590 (1590-2) was reprinted in Venice by Francesco Nicolini at the cost of a few changes. The new title page (I dieci libri d’architettura) repeats the framing that Francesco Marcolini had used for Cosmo Bartoli’s editions of Alberti in 1565 and 1568 and for the one Marcolini had used for Barbaro’s Vitruvio in 1584. The book was henceforth dedicated to Duchess Sophie de Brunswick-Lunebourg. The work seems to be a simple revamping of the unsold copies of the second edition in the 16th century. Some copies are dated May 25, while others June 25, 1660, but they are strictly identical.
