BOOKS ON ARCHITECTURE
After Savot died, L’architecture françoise des bastimens particuliers was re-edited in 1642 by the booksellers Antoine Robinot and Jean Gesselin who had obtained a new privilege for five years. The dedication to the marquis de la Vieuville was deleted, and both the table of contents and the text were revised. It wasn't until 1673 that François Blondel produced an enlarged and updated edition, proof that Savot's work remained topical.
