After the 1629 French and English publications, the Traité des feux artificiels was printed several times. Although the privilege had been granted to Pierre Guillemot in 1628 for ten years, in 1631 Mathieu Guillemot’s widow and their son Mathieu II put out an edition of the treatise “newly revised, corrected and expanded by the author”.
