The illuminator and map publisher Jean Boisseau (16??-after 1657) republished the Topographie françoise of 1641 seven years later. This second edition contains thirteen new plates, plans of cities (Lunel, Montauban, Montpellier...) and a certain number of plates which appeared in copies having a title page dated 1641 but which have plates with later dates (1642, 1643 and 1644) such as the one of the Cordouan lighthouse engraved by Jacques Poinssart (Pastoureau & Lestringant 1984, pp. 97, 116, 119-120).
