BOOKS ON ARCHITECTURE
In August, 1565, in Monte Regale (Mondovi) , a few months after Francesco De Franceschi, Leonardo Torrentino republished the illustrated translation of Alberti that his father Lorenzo had published in Florence in 1550. He reused the original woodcuts and saved on paper by using smaller print. In order to stand out from his Venitian colleague he added the Italian translation of the De pictura by Lodovico Domenichi which had first appeared in Venice in 1547 at the presses of Giolito de Ferrari.
