« Et pourtant elle [Narbonne] porte toujours les marques honorables de son ancienne splendeur. Car elle fust honorée en son temps de la magnificence d’un amphiteatre qui est entierement applani & son sol tombé entre les mains [87] de garrigues, l’ingénieur, [… ?] tres intelligent aux choses antiques, qui travaille depuis long temps a le fayre remonter du sepulcre qui l’a englouti. » |
