Remarks	The vestiges known as the 'Temple de Diane', in fact those of a Paleochristian episcopal ensemble, could still be seen on the site of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de la Major and of the former Romanesque cathedral known as the 'Vieille Major'

Transcription « Wo yetzundt die grobe kirchen (La Maieur) ist, soll vor zeitten der göttin Dianae tempel gewesen sein, wie noch ettliche antiquiteten solches aubweysen. » = “The site occupied today by the large church (la Major), was, in times past, that of a temple dedicated to Diana. The presence of several antiquities support this idea.”
