Remarks	Rivail's account of the existence of a temple, already in a state of ruin in the first third of the 16^th century, is unique. At the end of the 16^th century, Alphonse Delbène mentions the villa and the tomb of M. Allo Anivus (Prieur 1989, p. 19). Later accounts of the site only mention architectural fragments and marble blocks

Transcription « In eo vico de quo agimus extant aliquæ antiquitatis reliquiæ […] et magnæ structuræ ædificium omnino præter basim ruptum ; et ni fallor, templum Romanorum erat, et est prope Christianam vici ædem. » = “In this village of which it is question there are numerous ancient remains […], in particular, those of a large edifice, entirely demolished but for its foundations. If I am not mistaken, this was a Roman temple; it is close to the Christian church which succeeded it.”
