« maximè verò anno 1592, cùm cingeretur et muris et propugnaculis et vallo Trencatalia, ejectâ ad vallum tellure patuit strata maximis lapidibus via, qui ita uno contextu jungebantur ut unicum lapidem siue rupem omnes judicarent ; quo propter vallum effracto, inuentum fuit marmor latinis litteris notatum […] patuit etiam antiquissimus nec ignobilis aquæductus ita adhuc compositus, ut quasi de novo videretur constructus. » |
