| Remarks | The existence of a temple dedicated to the Roman triad, Jupiter, Juno and Minerva is attested by St Saturnin's Passion (5th century). The 'Capitol' is probably the temple of the forum, the foundations of the podium which were found under the 'Place Esquirol' in 1998 |

« le Capitole estoit a costé ou derrière ladicte Chapelle [de Saint-Quentin] vers le Septentrion ; où l’on voit encore une [84] vieille Tour, quoy que demolie à demy, laquelle confronte du costé d’Orient à trois petites maisons sises sur la grande ruë, & par derriere du costé d’Occident, regarde l’hostelerie ou maison ditte des Balances, qui souloit estre des dependances & appartenances du Capitole, avec tout ce petit hameau de maisons, qui sont à l’entour jusques à ladicte Chapelle. » |
