« Bey Unserer Frauwen khirch, außerthalb in der höhe, ist ein großer ring an der mauren von farben gemacht, umb welchen diese wort gelesen werden : C’est le pomme du sceptre du Pilate, daß ist : Es ist der knopf deß Pilati scepters. »
= “Near the Church of Our Lady (Notre-Dame), outside and at a good height, there is a large ring, painted in colour on the wall, on which one can read the following words: 'C’est le (sic) pomme du sceptre du (sic) Pilate', that is: 'It is the knob of Pilate's sceptre'.”
