« Est antiquo muro tenus ad Orientem theatrum amplissimum, dumetis & spinis, humóque ferme coopertum, pauco tamen labore sedes, facilíque detegi possunt artificio, Veronensi theatro non dissimile valde, nisi quòd illud incredibili saxorum mole sit conflatum, istud cæmenti firmitate indissolubili compactum. Ad occasum aliud est theatrum, sed non ita vastum, à mœnibus pauco distans interuallo, vulgo Iouere, maius autem ad Orientem, hodie Caves Ioliot vocatur. »
