BOOKS ON ARCHITECTURE
After publishing the first edition in French of Girolamo Cataneo’s Capitaine in Lyon in 1574, Jean II de Tournes offered a revised edition in French and in Latin in Geneva where he had settled. These editions are of comparable quality to those he had printed in Lyon. In the Latin translation the translator’s address was deleted and the table of contents was moved to the end of the book.
